Food and Drink

Rental of Inshriach is on a self catering basis but there are plenty of other options available. We can usually arrange a chef for anything from one evening to a full week or even just have some meals brought in that you can put in the oven.

If you are a gin fan (or a shed fan) then you may have come across the Inshriach Distillery. Winner of Channel 4’s Shed of the Year in 2015 and now the home to our eponymous line of hand picked and hand made small batch Speyside gins, it is also the scene of regular open days and occasionally available as a space for private events and parties. We now have in house bottling capabilities and produce gin for a number of other brands as well as our own.

A few weeks of the year our gardens are productive enough to do more than feed us.

If you are eating out we highly recommend the Old Bridge Inn, a fine pub with good food and regular music. Andersons in Boat of Garten is also excellent.

The Old School Shop at Rothiemurchus sells meat from the estate, has the best selection of whisky and wine in the area and good local cheeses.

Last but not least, there is a Tesco in Aviemore, open every day, and all the major supermarkets will deliver to the house.
